When you rent a room at DSV Smarter Storage you have the option to buy an insurance. You can add the insurance on our website when you book your storage room, or you can just rent a storage room without buying insurance.

Legal information

DSV Smarter Storage has taken out a customer storage insurance (policy number w 104 0176 ws) to cover your property against loss or damage whilst being stored at DSV Smarter Storages location. DSV Smarter Storage is acting as “forsikringsformidler”. We are not registered in any insurance register. We receive the payment you pay for the insurance and pays the insurer, but are completely independent from the underwriting agent, leading insurer, insurance broker or any other part in this agreement

What to do in case of a claim ?

You must report any loss or damage immediately upon discovery and before removal of the damaged property from your storage room by calling DSV Smarter Storage on +45 70 55 55 88, and subsequently use the claims formula that is available after login on your customer profile.  Please take all actions required to avoid further damage/loss.

You should not erase any trace of the circumstances of the damage, as well as preserve the damaged goods as to enable loss assessment.  Please collect as much evidence as possible, such as  taking clear pictures of the damage and the circumstances (close-ups and larger views) and search for witness contact details, if any. In case of malicious damage, you or DSV Smarter Storage  should file a complaint with the relevant authorities.

You should file your claim through DSV Smarter Storages website within 7 days after discovery. Your claim will be directed to the insurer and/or the insurance broker. You will receive a written response from the insurer within reasonable time.

If you claim is rejected you can ask for a written rejection letter.
